Fascinating Mind-Expanding Book! A must read.

This book is amazing! Anat Weinstein’s “Live, Die and Take Notes” is destined to be a classic in the field of Past Life Regression and the exploration of consciousness. Whether you take the scenarios literally or as metaphor, they will expand your mind and prompt you to look within and explore your own inner reality. Anat masterfully guides her client (Ben) and asks just the right questions to elicit further understanding of the life he is exploring. The lifetimes and experiences Ben visits are quite fascinating. They stretch the concept of what we can experience and embody as individual souls and the lessons that come forward are quite profound.

I really liked the commentaries at the end of each chapter. They concisely sum-up the essence of the lessons to be learned from Ben’s experiences. I usually skip over study questions in books, but these made me think and go inward and I found myself actually using them. The affirmations were clear and useful as well. I highly recommend this book to fans of Dolores Cannon and anyone interested in expanded consciousness, spiritual growth and awakening.

Some answers to life's biggest questions

I have always wanted to know about life, its meaning, what I was put on this Earth for… Past life regression always seemed like an interesting direction I could look into to get some answers. Not that I really believe (or do I ?) that I was someone else before my current identity on this earth, but maybe there is something there at least on the psychological level. I was curious about reincarnation. By chance I came across Anat Weinstein's book and it seemed like a good way to start investigation the subject. What I found was a total mind blowing experience. Each chapter was like a "life lesson" written as if it was about me. I felt as if I could relate to the experiences the person in the sessions experienced. Each session in the book is a written recording of a past life experience and a direct link to the subconscious. I understood that our identities and experiences in our past lives contribute to our current sense of self. There is no such thing as "good" or "bad", just different experiences. I still don't know if past life regressions are "real" but I can tell you this: Many things can be learned from this book, especially how to relate to what is happening to us every day, good or bad… The important thing is how we perceive what we experience, and we can always find a reason for everything even if it seems there is none at a first glance.

An interesting case study over five years with stunning insight!

[[VIDEOID:17dd2a78ffebf4fa3d3b39dff5803cb0]] I really enjoyed this book and felt that because the client case studies were male, it would make a good guide for men to think about their own spirituality and consider past life regression hypnosis for themselves. I've personally worked with the author and have transformed my life as a result of our work together. I'm eternally grateful for her help and the insights I've gained from this book.

There are spiritual lessons compiled in each chapter, and some really great thought provoking questions. Unlike other hypnosis books, like those from Dolores Cannon where she compiles multiple sessions into one case at times aggregating them as if it were one interesting client, these sessions are each done with one client session per chapter and not composites.

If you know someone who is thinking about the meaning of life, and would like in interesting alternative view, seen as a metaphor or real, this book is an interesting read and I highly recommend it as a primer or supplemental point of view in their education of spirituality.

Easy to understand

What I like about this book is that that it is written in plain English and has plenty of valuable illustrations, so it is easy to understand. It takes the reader through the forty-six case studies along such a structured, simple-to-complex, road that even those with little basic knowledge will learn much about both the use of Minitab and the design of effective experiments.

Whether working in a research establishment or in a business or industrial environment, most of us will have experienced the inefficiency of intuitive, trial and error, management. Occasionally, a truly amazing solution to a problem will be discovered first time, but this is often more by luck than judgement.

Designing your "experiment" allows you to arrive at a very good design before you embark upon the expense of trying out your solution.

Working through this book took very little effort, and I actually enjoyed the experience! Moreover, I felt that by the time that I turned the last page, I had learnt a great deal. Whatever your starting level, I am sure that you would be able to say the same if you take the time to work through the book for yourself.

Great case-studies, poor execution

Summary:
This Design of Experiments (DOE) book provides excellent case studies but in the end was not as helpful as Lean Six Sigma and Minitab: The Complete Toolbox Guide for All Lean Six Sigma Practitioners (3rd edition) when it came time to design my experiment.

Pros/cons:
+ the authors use three different organizations: an engineering company, a pharmaceutical company, and a university to provide real-world case studies that are relevant to engineers, scientists and academia.
+ the case studies are diverse and relevant
- uses minitab version 14 (The current version is 16 as of December, 2011)
- all screenshots are low resolution, black and white, and usually small

Subjective:
I find the main text difficult to read and I simply didnt learn much from it. The case studies (which are numerous) are quite useful but I feel like there is a missing link between the examples and the DOE topics. Also the screenshots used in this book are truely off-putting; low-res black and whites are just not acceptable.

The Lean Six Sigma and Minitab book has a solid section on DOE that I was able to jump right into. Lean Six Sigma and Minitab is not a substitute but rather a complement - it will teach you the foundations of DOE in Minitab that are sorely lacking in this book.

This book is the second edition. Published 1981, I loved this book better than the newer edition because it has more exercises. All of the books by Milauskas and Rhoad, et. al are mentally stimulating. The book is clearly written and the exercises are partitioned into problem set A, B, C, and even D ranked in ascending order of difficulty. The problems are challenging. If you truly want to capture the essence of geometry in its completeness and enjoy this course, then I recommend buying this book, but most schools use the newer version, but great to have to use on your leisurely time. I give this book 5 stars.

A disappointing read

The Janna Mysteries is a fantastic series with a wonderful premise and interesting characters, however Willows for Weeping seemed to be, for all intents and purposes, the odd book out. Although it was beautifully written with wonderful descriptions of the scenery that made you feel as though you were walking down the road yourself, the plot left something to be desired. While I can understand that the plot line was based on Janna travelling from the Abbey to Winchester and therefore most of the usual characters would not appear, I was dishearten to found out that the only character that I knew was Janna. Since the other 5 books in the series at least had one or two other regular characters appearing, it left the book feeling somewhat disconnected to the series especially when Felicity introduced Rolf as another possible love interest for Janna. After reading the first three books I had believed that Janna had matured especially when it came to her instincts about men in her life, however Janna's relationship with Rolf made me feel like she had actually digressed in her maturity as she showed a somewhat naive trust in him that hadn't been seen since before the death of her mother. You think that she wouldn't be so trusting of strangers after the attempt on her life at the abbey and the death of one of her companions. All in all, Willows for Weeping was not a bad book but it was disappointing result after the previous novel, Lilies for Love.

Book four in a magical six-book series.

I love this series - it's so magical and fun, with a good dose of mystery and a teenage protagonist who has to solve a crime (or two) as she continues her quest to find her father and avenge her mother's death. At the end of book three Janna was surprised to find herself enjoying life in the abbey, where she had found friendship, learning and a sense of purpose as a healer. But her quest remains more important to her than her own happiness, and so, having finally learnt to read and with some new clues to her father's identity, she leaves the security of the abbey and heads out on the road to Winchestre with some pilgrims, determined to track down her remaining parent. They're a rag tag bunch, each having their own intriguing story, beliefs and motives, and Janna isn't sure who she can trust (and she learns some hard lessons when she reads a few people the wrong way). There's plenty of action - early on they stumble across a dead man carrying a message that could change the fortunes of the king, one of the pilgrims is murdered inside the circle of Stonehenge, and as Janna gets closer to the truth of the culprit, danger swirls ever nearer. As in all the Janna books, the heroine is smart, kind and fearless, yet she is also flawed, with a quick temper and a naivety that frequently gets her into trouble, but makes her all the more endearing. All the characters are interesting and multi-dimensional, making you feel deeply for them, and the historical figures and true events combined with the imagined lives of others creates a captivating story. As in previous instalments, the author manages to have all the mysteries solved by the end of each book, while also opening up new questions that leave you desperate to read the next one! I first read this book more than two years ago, and was devastated to learn that number five and six were indefinitely delayed. When it was announced recently that the final two in the series were about to be published, I read the first four books again in preparation, and they were just as enchanting and satisfying the second time around.

there's defenetly weeping

first of all you have to read the ones before it in the seires. i loved the book, i was hooked!but ,in my opinion,it needs to stop having one bad thing happen after awhile. it loses the dramatic affect. but apart for that i love it!!!!!
