Setting up Office 365 - in a business environment not Home Premium.
By Mr. Thomas Thorburn
This book is for those working in a business environment. If you have Office 365 Home Premium, this is 'not' the book for you.
Currently there does not seem to be a book covering :-
The setting up of a Skydrive account, so that you can make the best use of it. Such as saving to the computer as well as to the Cloud and keeping them in sync.
The basics of the various programs, there are those familiar with a couple of the programs, but not all of them.
Making use of the extra minutes of Skype that are available with this subscription.
Describe the setting up of good security and whether you should control your backups, instead of leaving it up to Microsoft.
This book assumes you already know the programs you are going to use and concentrates on setting up the necessary environment to enable you to co-operate with your colleagues. It seems to be succinctly written, but I cannot verify some of the information. For instance I do not have and have never used Lync so I cannot comment on it.
I generally enjoy the 'Dummies' series of books, for the way they impart knowledge. This book is written in a more serious vein
and I found it harder to read, however I am sure it will meet the needs of its target audience.

Too much hype, very little use
By J. Morrin
This book is a love-letter to Microsoft. The author feels the need to tell the reader, over and over, how hard Microsoft engineers worked to make this application easy to use, able to cure cancer, etc. It is so caught up in its praise of the company that it never gets down to basic topics such as how to set it up, how it ACTUALLY interacts with SharePoint and Lync, etc. In fairness, maybe some specifics are in the book, but it fails to begin at the beginning and I started off feeling as though I had missed the opening chapters. But..I am confident that the Microsoft engineers worked hard on it!
